An ATL "Cargo-Flex™" liquid transport bladder filled with 3000 gallons of kerosene undergoes vigorous testing at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory. The bladder successfully passed all tests at the -20° F research facility.
ATL employees proudly pose with eleven 3,000 gal. Cargo-Flex™ Bladders at ATL's World Headquarters in Ramsey, New Jersey. These Flexible Bladders will be used in the transport of fuel.
South Pole Traverse Manager, Paul Thur comments, "We have been able to use the ATL 3,000 gallon HEAVY DUTY CARGO-FLEX™ TRANSPORT TANKS reliably in one of the harshest environments on Earth. These bladders have held up to rigorous laboratory testing twice and mobile field use in Antarctica for several years now. We are very satisfied with both the performance and durability of ATL's Arctic Bladders."
ATL Fuel Bladders are tough, rugged and durable. If you still have second thoughts, consider this: The British Antarctic Survey relies on their custom ATL FueLocker fuel bladders as a means of transporting gasoline and diesel while performing their duties on the desolate, ice-covered landscape of the Antarctic. During their latest expedition, the fuel bladder “sleds” were pulled nearly 500 miles over the rough terrain all while exposed to the harsh elements that only Antarctica can unleash!
